Payment options and insurance

We work with most insurance plans in Massachusetts and offer self-pay options. Our in-house billing team helps you understand costs before you begin care.

Understanding coverage

At ALTA MH, our billing team works directly with you and your insurance company to: 

• Confirm whether we are in-network with your plan

• Check which services are covered and under what conditions

• Estimate your copays, coinsurance, or deductible responsibilities

• Explain self-pay options when coverage is limited

Coverage can vary by plan, diagnosis, and service type, especially for testing, and ketamine treatment. The fastest way to get accurate information is to call us with your insurance card. 

Insurance and self-pay 

ALTA MH is in-network with most insurance plans in Massachusetts. Some services may be billed as medical visits and others as mental health visits. Certain services, such as coaching, ketamine treatment, or specific testing, may have limited or no coverage under some plans.

If a service is not covered, or if you prefer not to use insurance, we offer straightforward self-pay rates that our team can review with you before your visit.
